His work with the Cleveland-based band “Big Brother’s Brother” made a significant impact on instrumental music in the Northeast, and he’s performed with many other groups, focusing largely on rock, jazz, and improvisation. Now living in Austin, Texas, he’s playing with The Dry Season and Ctrl-Z, and preparing for a new solo venture in the near future.

Students will find Mike a gifted teacher, highly trained enough in music theory to improve even the best guitarists, and patient enough to work with the most novice. In addition, Mike’s students get more than just a few set hours of study; performance opportunities are available up to four times a year, and help give kids and adults confidence and skills they will carry long after their lessons.
